Graphic Arts Designer (2021-25)
Part Time

If you're a graphic artist trying to break into broadcast television, this is a chance to get your foot in the door. The WSVN 7 Design Department is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer for a Part Time position to create stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate will work with producers, editors and other designers in a fast-paced news environment and must have strong typography, spelling and composition skills. Must be dependable, able to work in a team oriented environment and take directions. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator required. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This is a M-F overnight position, but covering other shifts may be required.

Weather Producer (2023-8)

WSVN is looking for a full time weather producer who will produce graphics for our weathercasts and also fill in on-air throughout the year. Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and publish engaging and accurate content across WSVN-TV's website and digital platforms.

Coordinate with the newsroom team to gather and produce relevant news stories, articles, videos, and multimedia content for online distribution.

Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to editorial guidelines.

Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve visibility and reach. You say "optimize" twice

Manage and update WSVN-TV's social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and timely posting of content.

Collaborate with the digital team to develop and implement digital strategies to grow and engage the audience.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital journalism, and social media.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of AP-Style.

Technical Director (2023-75)
Full Time

Must have 3-5 years experience as a technical newscast director for a television station. Must be able to call and punch a fast paced show with lots of changes. Experience on Kahuna switcher is a plus. Must be a team player as person must work closely with producers, camera crew, editors and other news staff. Should be available to work flexible hours, including holidays.

Studio Technician (2023-76)
Part Time

Operates live studio camera during live news shows. Must understand format of shows for proper key camera shots. Must know operation of teleprompter and equipment associated with studio. Minimum of one year television production experience required. Jimmy Jib experience preferred. Must be available nights and weekends.

TIF Weekend Producer/9AM Weekday (2023-81)

7 News is looking for a line producer candidate to step in on our weekend morning shows, as well as three days a week, on our weekday, Today In Florida newscasts. We are looking for an aggressive, creative, on-line show producer. Should have medium market producing skills. Heavy emphasis on show stacking, headline and tease writing, as well as copy editing. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree, or the work equivalent - - plus a minimum of two (2) years experience as a TV News Producer required.

Assignment Desk Editor - Today In Florida (2023-84)
Full Time

Develops news stories. Monitors police and fire scanners. Dispatches news crews to stories. Handles telephones. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in news writing required. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to work different shifts as needed within short notice in a fast-paced news market. Candidate should also possess a working knowledge of a greater Miami market and its multi-cultural communities and must have the ability to work well with others. Windows XP knowledge required. Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience required.

Non Linear Editor PM (2023-88)
Part Time

Must have a minimum of 1-year news editing experience and a working knowledge of Edius and Aurora non-linear editing systems. AVID and Final Cut experience helpful but not required. Broadcast Communications Associates Degree or TV Production training required.

Profile Coordinator (2023-90)
Part Time

Successful candidate will work in News Operations. Duties include but are not limited to, preparing dubs and helping maintain News library, recording satellite feeds and loading XDCAM disks prior to air in our Tape Center. Prior experience or knowledge of editing equipment helpful. This is an excellent entry-level position.

Viz CG Operator (2023-91)
Part Time

Great opportunity to learn and work on the Vizrt.. Candidate will work in post-production, design and on-air environments. Must be organized, reliable and a good communicator. Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work flexible hours, weekend and holidays. Minimum 1 year experience or related college courses. Television majors welcome to apply.

Writer (2023-92)
Part Time

Writes copy for newscasts and assists producers in the production of shows. This is an entry-level position, but applicants must have solid broadcast writing skills, be willing to work all hours, and want to learn the business from the ground up. Must be proficient in Windows 10. Our writers are considered for future producer openings, so those with a strong interest in producing should apply.

DECO Editor (2023-93)
Part Time
